Question on how to honor a Mother figure on Mothers day- unique situation....
My Mom passed 12 years ago, and my MIL passed a few months ago. I was always close to my MIL best friend but we have gotten closer and she has become like an aunt to me and DH. Mother's day is next month, I do not want to honor her as my Mom becuase nothing would replace my own Mom and also my MIL, but I want to do something besides a thinking of you card. Any suggestions? She treats us like her own,( she does not have any children) and we are going on a cruise with her and her friend and I was thinking maybe some on board credit, but was thinking what else instead I /DH can do to honor her as "an aunt" figure on Mother's day. I also know it is goign to be hard for my DH this year because it is the first Mothers day without his mom. Any ideas/ suggestions? Thanks in advance.....

In Hallmark, they have cards for Mother's Day that are general like "To a woman who is special to me on Mother's Day" and stuff like that.
How about making her a brunch?
