 non-stress test and biophysical 
Are they the same thing? or done at the same time? Who does it (Doctor or sono tech.) When are they normally done???

The NST (non stress test) is when they monitor both the heartbeat and contraction pattern.  It's usually set up by a nurse and reviewed by a doctor.  The BPP (biophysical profile) is a sonogram that measures 4 things:  your amniotic fluid level, baby's movement, baby's breathing and shoot I can't remember what the 4th thing was   I've been out of work to long, my brain is going to mush!

Oh and to answer your 2nd question, they are normally not done until you are full term (37+wks) unless you are considered a high risk pregnancy.

i'm having the NST done next Wednesday- I'm sure the BPP is coming up soon too.  I'm doing it in the office.
