 | Hardwood floors in the kitchen? Does anyone have them? We are currently trying to decide if we want hardwood or tile. Anyone know the pros/cons to having hardwood in the kitchen? Thanks |

 | Re: Hardwood floors in the kitchen? We had the same dilemma. We wound up going with tile b/c I was too nervous about scratches and cooking mess. Although, I LOVE the way it looks, and if I wasn't such a klutz we would have chose wood. |

 | Re: Hardwood floors in the kitchen? I would love to do a laminate in our kitchen, it has tiles right now, which are not forgiving in the least. Plus, the grout always looks nasty, so matter how hard we scrub and clean it. Its the only part of our house that doesn't have hardwood floors, except our bathrooms. |

 | Re: Hardwood floors in the kitchen? We have had laminate floors for 8 years now and they look as good as when they were first put down. Easy to clean and take care of. Wouldn't have anything else! |

 | Re: Hardwood floors in the kitchen? We have tile and love it. The dog loves to sleep on the tile floor and it's real easy to clean. No problems with the grout either.
The only thing I dont like is tile gets cold and if you walk on it barefoot brrrrr

 | Re: Hardwood floors in the kitchen? We have hardwood under the tile in our kitchen, and we're going to refinish the wood. I hate the tile, the grout always looks like it's dirty no matter what I do. We wipe up any spills or water right away on the tile anyway, so that's won't be a change at all.
My girlfriend had hardwood installed in her kitchen & says she regrets it. It's all scratched up from dragging the highchair, dining room chairs, etc. around. We don't move the highchair or other furniture around much, so I'm not too concerned.
