What do they have for restroom changing stations?
I was at Barnes and Noble today, went to the bathroom, and happened to notice the changing table they have in the stall.... I'm like - ick - I would not want to put my baby on that!!!!
But, if you gotta change your kid, you have no choice!
Do they sell portable pads that are easy to clean for this purpose? I mean, I'm sure they do, but which ones did you get, where did you find them, etc....
And also, what do you clean them with after you use them? It grosses me out that its in a public restroom, but what can you use that isn't too harsh on the pad?

Re: What do they have for restroom changing stations?
This is on my BRU registry.
As for cleaning them after, I don't know what would be best.
One of my friends used to change her kid in the bathroom, but leave him in the stroller. At the time I thought she was being too paranoid, but not long after I saw one of those changing things with crap on it. And now that the shoe is on the other foot, I definitely don't feel happy about having to use them either, but there's not a lot of choice.

I wonder if they make disposable pads that you can use once and then toss out... that would be convenient!

I would totally spend money on those - to tell you the truth, I am not keen on even taking something home that has touched a changing table in a public place.... I know I'm being overly germ-freakish about this, since everything I own has been in a public restroom at one time or another, but when it comes to my baby, I dunno....

Re: What do they have for restroom changing stations?
I have seen ones that have disposable liners to go on it - kinda like the toilet covers they have in the stalls.

Most diaper bags come with their own changing pad.

Re: What do they have for restroom changing stations?
I buy the Especially for Baby brand from BRU in the 36 pack. Well worth the $. They actually aren't that expensive. I can't stand the thought of putting a changing pad on those tables and then back in my diaper bag. Gross!

Re: What do they have for restroom changing stations?
I usually just change DS in the stroller, but if I have to use a changing table I would put down one of the large disposable pads (I have BRU brand) and on top of that my changing pad. I always throw out the disposable after....ewwwww!

Re: What do they have for restroom changing stations?
they have disposable changing pads, just carry them in your diaper bag for those times you need to use the bathroom changing table OR carry some clorox wipes in a plastic travel wipes container and wipe down the changing table before you put your changing pad from your diaper bag on it, b/c those disposable pads arent cheap!

Re: What do they have for restroom changing stations?
my son is a toddler now and I have never changed him on one of these restroom tables they just gross me out. I change him before he gets out of the car in the car and if worse comes to worse in his stroller and it has worked for me for 2 1/2 yrs I plan to do the same for this one.

Munchin makes the best ones - I LOVE them. You can buy them at BBB.
Munchkin Diaper Pads
I even put them on top of my changing table mattresses... it saves you, especially when they are newborns and have accidents!

Re: What do they have for restroom changing stations?
I use the huggies disposable pads, i wouldn't get a permenant one, i like to throw that thing out asap, Gianna and I get purelled too after.
I ONLY use them when it's a last resort, I would rather change her in the car or in her stroller before i use one of those yicky things.

They do make disposable pads that you can throw out.
I've even laid down papertowels before when I was in a pinch ... just beacuse it was so gross looking.
