I'm so excited because....
last night I went to a fundraiser for my school, and there was a chinese auction. I put in for this big bookshelf with tons of children's books on it, and as I'm walking away, my friend said, "I'm putting this ticket in for the books, and if I win, they're for Ava!"
And guess what? She won I counted this morning, there's over 50 books in there! And good ones! All the Dr.Seuss books, The Velveteen Rabbit, etc. Pop-up books. You name it, it's in there. To me, books mean so much because they are what I remember from when I was a little girl, and to me, a book is so special because it takes someone sitting down with you and reading to you and I remember so many books my parents and I read together. I'm just so excited! I'm such a nerd

omg..good for you!! that is so cool. see you really are a good mom...it brings the nerd out in ya!!  j.k. but you are so right about the special time you will share with ava..and like you said she will remember the same special time you remembered with your parents..plus those darn books can be so expensive
