When did your newborn start using...
a swing?
a activity gym?
a bouncer?
a stationary play center?
a crib soother (light/music toy on side of crib)?
a high chair?
We don't have any toys for our daughter yet (due 12/23) and I'm wondering what we could use right away. Thanks!

a crib soother (light/music toy on side of crib)? Never. I don't believe in putting toys in the crib.
a high chair? 4 months.

swing i didnt use till he was like 2 months, activity gym not till like 2 months, bouncy seat right away, stationary play center like a month old.. high chair not till 5 months, crib soother right away but it didnt work with him... but my son was not the norm.. Good luck!!

a stationary play center? not yet...i think 4 mths is the recommended since they can hold themselves up better
a crib soother (light/music toy on side of crib)? 2 weeks. she was in the bassinett, which didn't work out. she loves the mobil and baby einstein crib toy
a high chair? also i think around 4 mths (not there yet)

a swing? ***Very recently, but I know other moms that said their child took to it immediately. My son is 13 weeks old.
I dont' know why he didn't like it until now, but all children are different like that. If your child turns out to be a bit fussy (I hope he/she won't!) a swing can be a great thing to calm them.
a activity gym? *** If you mean a playmat with the arches and things hanging from them, I put him down on his when he was about 1 month old and he LOVES it.
a bouncer? *** About 2 months of age he really started getting into playing on his bouncer. Again like the above things, it really depends on the child. Some take to it right away, some take a little time.
a stationary play center? ***Not sure what that is. Do you mean an exercauser? I think they have to be able to sit up on their own first before using that.
a crib soother (light/music toy on side of crib)? ****Not sure. But we still have Liam in his bassinet so we haven't used it yet since it can't clip on to the bassinet.
a high chair? ****I am pretty sure you don't use a high chair for babies until they are able to sit up on their own, around 6 months.

****My advice is to get the bouncy seat, the swing and the playmat now, and the crib soother too. The high chair can wait. An exercauser can wait a few months too.

The same for me, except DD was in high chair at 3 months

a activity gym? About 2 weeks old and we start tummy time about then too.
a bouncer? She slept in it once when she was a couple of days old and didn't want anything to do with it til now; at almost 3 months.
a stationary play center? We have an exersaucer and she's too young.
a crib soother (light/music toy on side of crib)? She likes to watch this during the day and has since about 2 months.
a high chair? She isn't in this yet but since I have one that reclines, I think I'm going to start using it now.
