Leapster and Leapster L-Max

Do you know if you can use the regular Leapster games in the L-Max Leapster? Thanks!

I was wondering the same thing. In the Leapster catalog it says something about the cartridges being interchangeable, but I'm not sure. Good question!

I'm pretty sure most (if not all) of the Leapster cartridges are compatible with the L-Max. My mom got Sean the Backyardigans L-Max for Christmas and we bought him a bunch of cartridges... Letterpillar, Thomas, Numbers on the Run and Mr. Pencil Draw and Write. I know those are all compatible.

The Leapster box says right on top that it works in all Leapster systems.

HTH!

Re: Leapster and Leapster L-Max

What do you think of the L-Max? Is it worth the money over the regular Leapster?

Do you think Caiden will be able to play it? He'll be 3 early January.

Thanks!

IMO, it's totally worth the money b/c the L-Max plugs into the TV for interactive play (2 screens) whereas the regular one doesn't. They both function the same, though. Caiden might be a little young for it, IMO. Sean will be 3 1/2 in January.

Does Caiden have the "My First Leappad"? It's really great!! We got it for Sean last Christmas and he LOVES it!! He's pretty much mastered it though and he's bored (he reads already). Our main reason for getting the L-Max was to work on writing, math and logic.
