After D&C and/or m/c
How long did it take for AF to return? How long until you concieved again? Were you scared the second time around too? I have so many questions since my D&C about what to expect. I spoke to DH and I am hoping things go well so we can try again by like Feb/March.

I had a D&C on September 13 at 7w3d. I bled for a while afterwards, AF showed up 10/29. I am gearing up for an IVF cycle in late December!

I had a D&C April 28, 2005. AF retuned in June -- light - and July back to her old self again.

Re: After D&C and/or m/c
I had a D&C on March 3rd. AF returned on April 1st. I concieved again on April 13th(I know the date since we were trying to wait two cycles but we were in Vegas...). I was terrified this whole pregnancy- I think I still am a little at 32 weeks. But I try to think of the end and the beautiful result.
I am so sorry for your loss and hope you join us again soon.

Re: After D&C and/or m/c
If you want to talk honestly, from someone who has a daughter and has had 3 misses, you will never be as excited, as the first time. Its sad and unfortunate but its the honest truth. In the end when you have your baby and even in the later part of your pregnancy it will be exciting. But as for the beginning, be prepared to worry. I tell you this only to prepare you and so you do not feel alone in you time of worry and sadness.

I appreciate the honesty, it's what I am looking for. I am so nervous, scared, and anxious. Part of me can't wait to get pregnant again and part of me feels I will fall apart if it happens again.

I agree completly! I had a D&C in June & so far, since conceiving again in August, I am afraid of everything & not enjoying things as I should. It is getting better that I'm now almost 14 weeks, but it is hard not to worry about everything.

Re: After D&C and/or m/c
I miscarried naturally at 6 weeks and conceived exactly one week later (without realizing it), so I never had AF return after my m/c. It's true, you can never experience the same excitement as your first pregnancy, so from now on you're tainted - the first trimester was excrutiatingly worrisome, though I experienced tremendous nauseau which always eased my mind a little, but trust me, every time my symptoms lessened, even for a moment, I FREAKED OUT. The second and third trimesters get easier though... good luck

Re: After D&C and/or m/c
I hope that it never happens to you again, but in some weird way, for me, the 2nd and 3rd time did not hurt as much. Don't get me wrong it hurt but, but its different, because the nieveness is gone. The 1st time you get pregnant it doesn't really cross your mind that you might lose it. Unfortunatley, you never let yourself get as excited. Its like a self defense thing. Anyway, good luck, keep your chin up and know that you are not the only one. If you want to chat, you can fm me.
