My 4.5 year old son has it and loves it also. It's a little sticky and weird textured, but he has fun with it. Me too! I find it therapeutic! 
And that is a good price too! I got 1 little container for $8.

DS is downstairs playing with it with my mom as I write. He is five and he LOVES it! (The rule is that he can only use it at the table, with a grown-up. It sticks to fabric.) It is popular with all the 5/6/7 year olds!
