So it looks like
RJ will be starting daycare next week...
I took on a project at work- which is now making me work 2 full days during the week- I was really hesitant to take this on... because I really love being home everyday by 11:30am and being with DS- BUT we really need the extra cash- and I still will be home @ 11:30 the other 3 work days- so its not so bad...
Anyways- my mom was supposed to be taking on those 2 full days- but it looks like- she is gonna be needing a break for awhile- SO one full day he will be coming with me- and the other day will only be a half day...
I cant figure out why Im so freaked out over this... I work in the office that is right across the hall- but for some reason Im still kinda sad... I know some people would love to be able to have their DC at work with them- but I guess Ill just have to get use to it...
Im good friends with the teachers in that room and I know that RJ will love being with other children and that he will learn so much from being there...
I guess I know that Im totally overprotective and paranoid... and I know how hard it will be to hear him cry, and how mad Ill be if he gets hurt- and I just dont want this to effect my relationship with my co-workers...
Tomorrow he is going for a trial half day- and then my decision will be made 100% definite... please send lots of prayers that he makes and easy adjustment and dosent have a breakdown (or that I dont have a breakdown)
You would think- Ive been working in this building for 4 years... that this would be so easy

Change is hard. Allowing someone else to care for our babies is hard.
This is a time of adjustment and that will take a bit of time.
But I bet in the end you will both be really happy. He will play with other babies and you will have a new challenge at work.

i think its a great opportunity for you and the baby. he will love the interaction with the other kids and you know the people watching him! i think it sounds soo perfect. wish i had that!

I think it's a wonderful opportunity for him to interact with other kids his age. That's wonderful that you're going to be right there with him. Good Luck Marissa!!
