Did anyone get an *idea* of what they were having at 12 wk sono???
I know the genitalia is present but easily mistaken so they don't say.
I was just wondering if the boy sonos might have shown a lil' something that early.

We thought we saw "ovaries" - but I had read in all the pregnancy books that the scrotum is on the outside of the body then descends- one of the main reasons I thought I was having 2 boys. Turns out they were probably really either ovaries or kidneys or some other organ...I have  .

Well, the sono tech said she knew at 12 weeks it was a girl (she told us at our 20 week appt. that she knew at 12 weeks) becuase of the ovaries.

Yup. They were able to make a guess that it was a boy at 12 weeks, and showed us on the ultrasound. It was confirmed that it's a  at my 20 week Level II.

Me too!
My DH kept referring to it as a "boy" and saying he saw something but the lady doing the sono kept laughing saying no and saying it was too early.

The Dr. said that she thought she saw something at 14 weeks and it was most likely a boy. We found out at 21 weeks that it is a

We had no idea but I wouldn't have believed them if they told us. That's too soon - there's a high chance they could be wrong.

we had friends that found out boy at 14 weeks - At the time it sounded pretty certain.

My dr. couldnt find the heart beat at 12w and took out the sono machine and their he moving around. She said she knew it was a boy but only said that she thought it was a boy because I was on the fence about finding out. I think it is possible.
