Teachers!
I have PTC this monday and i dont think im going to be able to last. Its from 1-330 and 530-8 at night. i get such bad back aches from sitting to long. PLus I always get heartburn around 6 at night (wierd). I physically dont feel up to the night one. My principal is soo not undertandning..should i say say something or get a dr's note?

If you really feel that awful I'd get a doctor's note but I would try to stay for as long as necessary. I know in my district that's the one night they don't want you to miss. When one of my collegaues was out (hs) she had to call EVERY parent... about 130... ugh.
After 13 years of teaching I've learned that no one else is going to look after me except me. I no longer go into work sick... in the end no one gives you a medal, monument, bonus pay or teacher of the year .
Take care of yourself. Teaching is a physically demanding job and you may need to take it a bit easy.
I am dreading my parent teacher night as well.

Ok so i went to speak to my AP and she told me that i can do the afternoon conferences adn make up the night...however this of course has to be aproved by my principal...

I'm going to do our night conference. I feel pretty good, and I'd rather wait and play the pregnancy card for the February conference, since I will be VERY far along, it will be the dead of winter and I have a long drive. Luckily, my principal is a new-ish grandfather himself and is very understanding.

Good Luck Nancy... Your AP seems so understanding 
Your principal sounds horrible. I guess she just does not get the whole pregnancy thing.
