For those who have had a D&C

I had my surgery yesterday and it seems that everything went well. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. I am a little confused as to this post op period. I am not bleeding really at all today with barely any cramps. I was given a Rx for something to make my uterus contract and stuff to control bleeding but I don't want to take it and cause unecessary pain. I am afraid that I am blocked by a clot or something. I have heard crazy stories about it. Just looking to see different ways peoples bodies responded.

You really don't bleed at all- just a light period and then spotting. At least this happened with me. I did not bleed much at all.

Everything will be ok- the first couple of weeks are rough emotionally. Please FM if you need too.

I actually bled a lot. I think she took the majority out and let my body expel the rest on its own. I had mini contractions afterwards (she gave me a prescription that makes the uterus contract) and with those I passed a lot of clots and bled during the next 4 1/2 weeks or so on and off as well. Everyone's body is different. I'm so sorry about your loss.
