Pediatrician recommendations?????
Looking for a Ped. in the western Nassau area. Roslyn, Mineola, Garden City etc. We have GHI.

I can not reccommend my pediatrician office ENOUGH!!!
Nassau Pediatrics in Franklin Square. A few of us on the boards here go to them and they are fantastic!

We go to a practice in Plainview that we really like...Pediatric Associates, 3 doctors...516-822-1400. We like Dr. Nayor and Dr. Rabinowitz.

Yes its a group. 4 woman doctors and 1 NP. I've been going to them since Andrew was born.
C = Dr. Luisa Castiglia (we love her!)
P = Dr. Polsinelli
E = Dr. Patricia Elvir, who left the practice and her replacement, Dr. Messina, we see with Lauren
C = Dr. Cerniglia

I agree...I love them there!
I just switched to them 2 months ago thanks to these ladies and it was the best decision I ever made!!!
Dr. Camillary is the best. I heard they are all good though but my 1st appy was with him so I schedule them all with him now

Oooh...we go there as well. We LOVE Dr.Cammilery. The others...IMO...ehh.
ETA: That is soooo funny that so many of you go to Nassua Pediatrics. I must have met you all before because with my 2, I feel like I've lived in that office over the past almost 5 years.
The Doctor at Nassau Pediatrics are:
Dr. Camillery (AWESOME...nicest man in the world)
Dr. Kuncewitch (Very knowledgeable, but can be arrogant. Not always very patient.)
Dr. Babinsky (NEUROTIC. Go there with a kid with a cold...leave with 50 prescriptions. She drives me crazy)
Dr. Katz (Used to not like her. SHe has grown on me. I rate her 2nd best)

I go to Garden City Pediatrics. I love Dr. Bisacco (male doctor, probably late 50's). He's very common-sense and reassuring, good for me because I panic over everything :)

he's our dr. too and we love him. i would recommend that you interview them first to make sure you like them. I interviewed a few until I found the right one. You will be seeing them a lot, especially in the first year.

Jack has an appointment for his 1st shots (2 mo appt). Do you think I should rush to switch to another Ped before the 1st shots? Or does it really matter? We're also changing his insurance to my DH's right around that same time. I wanted to wait until after the switch (Nov. 15th) so we wouldn't have to find someone who takes both. Any thoughts??

It won't matter, but you'll need to get a copy of his medical records. Make sure they're complete.
When I switched pediatricians the last time they didn't write that Joseph had his DPT on the chart - luckily it was in the notes.
