Need some ideas

Didn't know where to post this - so I figured I would try here.

We are celebrating DH's parents 50th wedding anniversary in October. I am looking for some unique ideas for gifts, favors and decorations - any ideas?

I know when its time for my IL's anniversary party I am going to have one of their wedding pictures blown up huge and hang it from the cieling or at least prop it up somewhere everyone can see it. I want to do the same thing with pictures of them "through the years"

For part of the gift I want to have their original wedding video ( its on actual film) put on a dvd to really nice music since the original has no sound

Have you seen those picture card boxes on LIW? I was thinking of making something similar but on top put flowers or a nice plant or something and use them as the centerpieces.. each side of it will be different pictures of my MIL & FIL.

Maybe on the tables, you could have pictures of them from when they were younger (dating photos). My friend did that for her parents and printed out little cards with pictures. One side was the two of them when they were dating and the other side was now. You could think of a clever saying to go on top of the photos. It was a cute touch for the decor.

I don't know how much you would want to spend on Favors but what about mini bottles of wine and make personalized labels with their wedding date on them and something like " Just like wine their marriage has only gotten better with time" aged 50 years to excellence or something like that with their names on it!

Do you know what their wedding cake looked like? maybe do a replica of that - or smaller version depending on how many people you are going to have.

I also want to take my MIL's wedding album and have it put in a new style nice album and have all the pictures fixed.. they aren't all in perfect condition and the album is falling apart.
