Area rugs!
Has anyone ever ordered from Rugs-Direct? They have such a large selection and the prices aren't bad. it is just hard to tell the quality on a computer screen.
If anyone has any recommendations on where to look for an area rug please post. We are looking for something in a pattern with earth tones or fall colors for our living room and then a matching one in a solid color or solid color with a border for our dining room.

I'm not sure if this will help you, but we bought our area rugs from Pottery Barn....they have a great selection, and some of the prices aren't ridiculous

I love Pottery Barn rugs too.
Pier 1 has a very nice selection of area rugs.
We also got two rugs at Levitz when they had a sale. For $99 each we got two 5x8 rugs that were marked down from $499. One of them I wasn't crazy about but DH liked it, so I caved in. I like the other one a lot.
Not all the rugs were on sale but they had a nice selection overall. And now that Seaman's has been bought by Levitz (or maybe the other way around) they will probably be clearing out a lot of inventory.

I spent hours on rugsdirect the other day, but I haven't ordered yet. They do seem to have good prices.
Get the name/manufacturer of the rug you like and you can probably find it somewhere to see in person. They seem to carry the common brand names.
My mom mentioned there's a big rug place on 110 by Levitz. I'm going to try to get there to see the rug I like in person.
