Amount of Clothes

How many outfits would you say an infant will go through in one day between the age of 3-6 montyhs? I have plenty of 0-3 month stuff but am not sure about 3-6. How do you know when enough is really enough?

TIA

Re: Amount of Clothes

My DS is wearing 3-6 months now and he only goes through my outfit and my PJ each day. If he has an accident then it is two but that is rare.

The truth is you never do. My neice was in size 3-6 when she was a year old, and Maddy was out of 3-6 when she was 4 months. You kind of have to wait until they get here and you see how fast they grow.

Re: Amount of Clothes

same for me... one outfit and one set of PJs. The only time it's more than that is when theres an accident or spitting up.

DS is just about 2 months old and wearing 3-6 already.
He spits up alot, so I can change him 3 times in a day or sometimes not at all.

Then once in a while when he will pee during a diaper change and I am not quick enough! Sometimes we both need to be changed after! Chat Icon

yeah, don't go too crazy! James is 2 months old today and in 6 month clothing. He outgrew everything so fast! I wish I had more bigger sizes and less of the 0-3 and 3-6, etc!

Re: Amount of Clothes

I think I got the most use(so far) out of my 3-6 month stuff. She's 7 months and is still is in mostly 3-6 clothing, sleepers she's 6-9.

Re: Amount of Clothes

It depends on if they have reflux. Grace had a slight reflux, nothing compared to what some of the other moms on this board go through and she trashed 2-3 outfits a day and 1-2 PJs a night in the first 3 months. After I stopped BFing, we switched to Enfamil Gentlease and added a little rice cereal to it and the spit up was cut down substantially. Now, it is 1-2 outfits (because she is teething) and 1 PJ. She went through 5-6 bibs a day in the beginning and now it 2-3 bibs.

It all depends on your kid, IMHO.
I would invest in TONS of bibs, oneises, footie pjs. HTH Chat Icon

I would say when we hit 6 months most of the time we used one outfit per day. Before that sometimes two. Miranda spit up a lot but I got tired of always changing her so we used a lot of bibs and I would wipe her off.
