Why is Connor crying???
All of a sudden Connor does nothing but cry and scream everytime I lay him down for naps or at bedtime. I've been doing a certain method with him which was working good and now the past few days he just screams and it takes a LONG time to get him to sleep. I think gas has something to do with it, but I'm not sure. I feel like everything I've worked on with him was for nothing. I was so proud of myself for sticking with it and it working. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Ask some of the women whos kids have acid reflux because it sounds a little like that. I hope he feels better.

Re: Why is Connor crying???
He's BF but I did give him a bottle of formula last night though he only drank 2 oz. of it. I don't think it's the formula because he was screaming before that and the beginning of the week he had formula and was fine and not screaming. He was doing a lot of grunting and legs kicking and face turning red like he's trying to get something out. He usually falls asleep when he's eating. Sometimes he'll arch his back and come on and off while nursing like he's trying to get gas out which he does sometimes. It's been when I lay him down in bed and even usually in my arms? If I have him in an upright position he's fine most of the time. He especially likes it on my shoulder.

I could've wrote this about Jack except he's FF. I think it's gas too. I've started putting 2 drops of gas relief in each bottle and I *think* it may be helping. I haven't done it long enough yet to say for sure. HTH

Re: Why is Connor crying???
Honestly, it could be acid reflux, especially if you say he's fine when you hold him upright. Try feeding him in an upright position, if possible and holding him up for 15 minutes after he eats. Also, if you have a bouncy seat or a swing, I'd let him sleep in that and see how he does. I'd even prop up one end of his crib. This should help.

Yeah I think it could be gas. DS gets into this spells sometimes when he's gassy where he doesn't want to be put down. I could tell he was gassy cuz he kept crying and farting and burping a lot. I give him mylicon drops when he gets gassy.

Re: Why is Connor crying???
It could be gas, but it also could be an ear infection. The ears hurt much more when laying down, and sucking hurts with an ear infection. If it keeps up, I would call the ped, just to be safe.
