Ladies who have a Doppler....
How often do you use it?
I just got mine last night and I SWORE before I bought it that I would only use it once a week to ease my fears and check on Baby L.
Well, of course, now that I have it, the first thing I wanted to do this morning was check again.
I'm afraid this is going to be my new obsession.
How often do you use yours and is there any risk to using it often?

Re: Ladies who have a Doppler....
In the beginning i used mine every day, sometimes twice a day. Into the second trimester was every 2-3 days. When the baby's hearing developments it sounds like a helicopter over their heads and DD used to run from it. Then I only used it maybe once a week, I sent it back when i was 7 months pg.
I don't think it's harmful, it's only sound waves. My DD is just fine :)

It's very tempting.
I think I'd like to get a belt and just strap it on so I can hear the heartbeat continuously!!
I'm going to try to restrict myself to once a day before bed. I'll just keep it on my nightstand.

Re: Ladies who have a Doppler....
I have heard that its pretty safe, but since it does send sound waves to the fetus, that it shouldn't be overused, as too much noise exposure could result in hearing loss for the baby.
Otherwise, enjoy hearing your little one's heartbeat!!!
