"This is just the way it was meant to be"

A quote from my soon-to-be nanny. Sorry for so many posts, but I have been thinking about this all day.

I originally wanted to hire her when I first went to work. She is my neice's Sat. babysitter. My sister loves her! SHe is smart, great with my neice and is school to be a nurse. Originally we were going to share the nanny (my sister is a SAHM but may go back to work part time). But we couldn't agree on terms, and Jordana got off the waiting list for daycare- so I put Jordana in daycare. My sister never went back to work- so it didn't matter.

Now my sister really wants a babysitter for a 10-15 hours a week. We asked the babysitter if she would be interested in being Jordana's nanny and watching my neice at what we could afford. She agreed- so it looks like this is what will happen.

I called her to let her know that I am happy it looks like it will all work out- and that is what she told me "This is just the way it was meant to be".

I feel good that this is the right move. It will be sad to leave the daycare. All those kids are so cute! And I adore one of the teachers- but I will take her number. And I like the little things they do- like the Halloween party and parade.

But Now Jordana will have more 1 on 1 time and she will spend good time with her cousin. i can take my bugaboo out of retirement and Jordana can drink all the fresh milk she can handle!

Not to mention I won't have to take her to daycare and pick her up. Those rainy days made it so awful!!
