Are Diapers Taxable
Hi,
Sometimes when I buy diapers, they are taxed and sometimes they are not. For example, when I get them at BJ's in Suffolk, there was no sales tax. When I bought them last night in Massapequa (at Walmart), there was 4.625% sales tax.
Are they considered clothing, where Nassau has county tax??
I am so confused. And, it doesn't take much, as you can see! :)
Anyone??

Could it be because BJs is a wholesale club? I'm just guessing because I never had that happen or if it did, I didn't notice...
