When is a tooth "officially" a tooth?
Hi,
DD has two teeth appearing in her bottom gums. I can clearly see - whenever she lets me pry open her mouth two little white things and they are sharp but they are only a tiny bit about the surface of the gum....do they continue to push out and if so how long should it take?
I know dumb question but first time mom....lots of dumb Q's
TIA

I would definitely consider them teeth. Katherine--at 12 mos --got her first tooth poking through. That was a month ago and it's still only about 1/2 way out, with no other teeth. She is the exception though...really late.

Its so funny...my friends baby had a tooth popping through and its taken months for it to grow in fully, Noah got his teeth and they grew to full height within a matter days!
He is a superhero though...he has 8 teeths now!
