Appointment Timelines
Just humor me..
My first appointment was today. Im in my 7th week. My next appointment is not for 6 weeks ....11/30. I will be 13 weeks. Is this normal time frame wise???
Is there any reason I should go sooner?
I guess Im just worried not going for 6 whole weeks, but Thanksgiving falls in there.....

Re: Appointment Timelines
Is that how your dr.'s office does it? Thirteen weeks is around when they do the ultrascreen, I don't know if it can be done sooner.
I had my first appt at 8 weeks and my second at 13, so there were five weeks in between. Usually, my doc's office does not see women till the 9th weeks, but I was going on vacation and so was the doctor, so I got in early. Your first appt. seems earlier than most- it seems like a lot of ladies don't go till 8 weeks (from what I have observed) so maybe that is a factor too?

Re: Appointment Timelines
I am high risk and also PG from IVF so they wanted to see me sooner.
The Ultrascreen will be done between 11-12 weeks, at a high risk Dr.
So this is just my regular OB.

Re: Appointment Timelines
It seems as though everyone's doctor has their own schedule.
As for mine they begin at 8 weeks, then 12, 16, etc...until 32, then 34, 36, then every week.

Re: Appointment Timelines
Donna,
I'm considered high risk due to my age and the multiples along with IVF. My doc wants to see me every two weeks.

Re: Appointment Timelines
My doc said every 4 weeks for the first two trimesters and every two weeks after that.
I went at 10 weeks and I go for the ultrascreen at a high-risk OB (13 weeks)and then back to my OB the next week (14 weeks).

Re: Appointment Timelines
Donna, definitely seems normal.
I went every week from week 5 - 9 due to bleeding, but once that stopped I had the ultrascreen at 11 weeks and then every 4 weeks after that. My doctor said normally it would be week 8 then every 4 weeks.
