Carrying your 8mth old or older?

When you are out and about how are you carrying your baby?

I have been using the baby bjorn since DD was an infant but now she is getting bigger I was wondering what else is out there? I know she will want to be running around when she starts to walk but does anyone use a sling, baby carrier etc that works for older babies?

BTW...DD does not like her stroller so that is why we baby bjorn her when we are out and about and she loves it.

I use a sling and my DD who is 15 months loves it. I bought mine at slinglings.com, and I love it. They have instructions that show you how to put it on and different positions for different ages. It was buy 2 get 1 free. Mine came 2 days after I ordered it. HTH!

I have a bjorn that i use sometimes and I recently also got the ultimate baby wrap. they sell it at bru. it's SO comfortable! i think ds is getting a little big for the baby bjorn, but this fits great and ds is 7 months. it's nice because you can use it in different positions.

Noah is 9.5 months and weighs about 21 lbs...I would love to try him with a sling...do you think he is too big for one???

He doesn't mind the Bugaboo or the trolley at the supermarket, but sometimes I think he might like a sling...
