I know its a holy day and you should enjoy yourselves...fireworks in the street and all....

Eid is on Monday. I think it may be Dewali (a Hindu holiday)

I think you are right! My neighbours are kind of an equal mix of Hindu and Muslim, so I can expect parties all weekend long! Hooray!
Why can't they party before midnight???
