Prenatals?
Yesterday I went to a local health food store and bought a bottle of prenatals. A serving is 4 pills and they are HUGE. So this morning I tried to take one, and I gagged and the smell made me want to vomit. I spit it out and now I'm afraid to take one.  I HATE taking pills, nonetheless MONSTER pills.
Can anyone offer advice on this? I know I need to take them (or at least some multi-vitamin) but I'm just not sure I can.

Ask your dr for some samples and find one that works for you. I happen to like the premisis. It's supposed to help with MS too. They should have samples for you though.

Yes, I agree - get some samples from your doctor. The first ones I took were horrible - they tasted like oil everytime I burped. The ones I take now are great - they taste fine and I was never sick. Try a few till you get a good one.

The prescription ones are usually only 1 pill per serving. GNC prenatals are 2 pills a day.....

I can't swallow pills so I asked for a chewable. They don't even leave a bad taste in my mouth or make me burp up weird stuff.

I take prenate elite...the pills are not big at all and its the only one that agreed with my stomach

Oh wow! So no one else is taking 4 monster pills a day? I so got ripped off (it was like $30 for a bottle of 60 pills).

With my 1st I used the Target brand prenatals, 120 pills was like $15. Only one pill a day.

I bought a bottle of Nature Made prenatals from Costco for about $13 and they are average size I guess and they seem to be fine.

I still cant take anything but flintstones at 4 mts - dr. said it was ok - btw - I know those pills you are talking about - I have them too, but can not take them either!!!

Mine are off the shelf and are only 1 a day. They aren't tiny, but they sure aren't the horse pills you are describing.

My doc used to recommend Flintstones as a multi (waaay before pregnancy was in my realm of thought). Do you take a regular dose or take more than that? I think Flinstones might be for me, too!

OK so I went to CVS today and picked up an OTC prenatal that's only 1 pill a day and while they're big, they're not monsters. Hopefully this works for me!
