Texas Covidiots
Three Texas House Democrats who fled to Washington, D.C., to block the passage of a sweeping elections overhaul bill have tested positive for COVID-19.
How about that maskless photo op on the plane now? We’re getting scolded for having a mask below our nose on a plane and these idiots are above the rules. Another example of do as I say not as I do.
You wonder why people are more lax about Covid….here’s why. 2 weeks to flatten the curve turned into a year. There is still no end date or numbers. Shut downs on the horizon again. Masking our kids in school. Segregating vaccinated and non vaccinated. But they don’t have to follow the rules? Give me a break, practice what you preach.

Yes, I agree with u completely. But it is ironic how 3 people who had been vaccinated ended up testing positive. This makes the point that getting the virus can indeed happen regardless of vaccination, I’m saying this because many seem to still think they’re invincible regarding covid because of the vaccine, proving that vaccine is not the hero that’s saving the day and that other more effective approaches should be emphasized and promoted to help each one of us fight the virus in case of contraction.
These people are the latest “do as I say and not as I do” kind of people but there have been many of this kind since the beginning of the pandemic.

These people are the latest “do as I say and not as I do” kind of people but there have been many of this kind since the beginning of the pandemic.
People who got the vaccine do not think they are invincible. We know that the vaccine is not 100% effective. We know we can still get covid. And we also know the likelihood of being hospitalized or dying is greatly reduced with the vaccine. Do you seriously think people who are vaccinated do not know these things? And yes, the vaccine IS "the hero saving the day." Without it, hundreds of thousands more people would continue to die or become seriously ill and be hospitalized (and possibly suffer serious long term effects).
Those who choose not to get vaccinated are soooo defensive and condescending to those who did. Yes, it's your choice, but at least recognize what the vaccine has done to help our lives return to normal - for now at least. Because the Delta variant is spreading quickly and it would not surprise me at all if mask mandates return and shut downs happen again - and that is due to those who are unvaccinated. Yes, it is.
And what exactly are the "more effective approaches" you speak of? Please, do tell.

Now 2 people who work with pelosi tested positive. This is why so many unvaccinated have been so against the whole vaccinated vs. unvaccinated segregation. It makes zero sense that vaccinated people were able to be crammed into arenas at 100% capacity maskless (and with unvaccinated children) while unvaccinated had to wear masks and social distance. It still makes zero sense as I type it. We have been screaming from the rooftops for months that the vaccine does not prevent Covid, it lessens the chance of hospitalization. And that’s it. So these “rules” make no sense and need to go. We need to start focusing on treatments of Covid instead of trying to vaccinate children.

100% many did not and do not know that the vaccine does not prevent catching Covid. My own parents argue over this with me. They are high risk and live their lives like they can’t catch it anymore. And so do their friends. They were all under the impression (bc king Cuomo said they don’t need to social distance or wear a mask anymore) that they couldn’t catch it.

And then vaccinated people are basically being told you can live your normal life - no wonder why many feel they are invincible when the messaging in the media went from you can still get covid with the vaccine to go out and live your live normally if you are vaccinated.

Exactly. Some people who don't want to get vaccinated are cherry picking stories of breakthrough cases and adverse effects because they are desperate to justify their decision. Meanwhile there are millions - probably billions - of incidents of people being exposed to Covid who didn't get it because of the vaccine or were asymptomatic who might not have even known they were exposed. Those stories don't make the news because usually no one is even aware that they happened.
The vaccine has saved lives, period. It's not debatable. Some people will never acknowledge that the vaccine is why most mandates are gone, numbers are down, etc.

Ok so we just won’t acknowledge breakthrough cases if that’s what you want. We will live in an imaginary world where the vaccine is magical and gets rid of Covid.
And if you tested more vaccinated people I guarantee you the numbers would be higher.
I don’t need to justify my reason. I know the vaccine minimizes symptoms. Doesn’t prevent it. I have a good immune system and feel this is the best choice for ME. The only thing that would change my mind is if you told me I definitely couldn’t pass it on to others.

No one has answered how the vaccinated got it, if only from unvaccinated and how they would even know that. Who is to say that vaccinated are not giving to vaccinated. I am not speaking of the “99”%” who are hospitalized but the ones who just test positive.

This makes the point that getting the virus can indeed happen regardless of vaccination, I’m saying this because many seem to still think they’re invincible regarding covid because of the vaccine, proving that vaccine is not the hero that’s saving the day and that other more effective approaches should be emphasized and promoted to help each one of us fight the virus in case of contraction.
These people are the latest “do as I say and not as I do” kind of people but there have been many of this kind since the beginning of the pandemic.
People who got the vaccine do not think they are invincible. We know that the vaccine is not 100% effective. We know we can still get covid. And we also know the likelihood of being hospitalized or dying is greatly reduced with the vaccine. Do you seriously think people who are vaccinated do not know these things? And yes, the vaccine IS "the hero saving the day." Without it, hundreds of thousands more people would continue to die or become seriously ill and be hospitalized (and possibly suffer serious long term effects).
Those who choose not to get vaccinated are soooo defensive and condescending to those who did. Yes, it's your choice, but at least recognize what the vaccine has done to help our lives return to normal - for now at least. Because the Delta variant is spreading quickly and it would not surprise me at all if mask mandates return and shut downs happen again - and that is due to those who are unvaccinated. Yes, it is.
And what exactly are the "more effective approaches" you speak of? Please, do tell.
Exactly. Some people who don't want to get vaccinated are cherry picking stories of breakthrough cases and adverse effects because they are desperate to justify their decision. Meanwhile there are millions - probably billions - of incidents of people being exposed to Covid who didn't get it because of the vaccine or were asymptomatic who might not have even known they were exposed. Those stories don't make the news because usually no one is even aware that they happened.
The vaccine has saved lives, period. It's not debatable. Some people will never acknowledge that the vaccine is why most mandates are gone, numbers are down, etc.
