DS will be 4 weeks on Friday....

and the dr ok'd me to give him 6 ounces of formula since after 4 ounces he still hungry...
anyone else's DC eat this much at 4 weeks?

Is this normal? Hopefully it will fill him up to sleep longer and not cry/fuss after his feeding..

sydney, who is almost 7 weeks is at 4-5 oz... sometimes 6. For a while she was eating more but seems to have settled back down to 4-5 again, I think it may have been a growth spurt... that was around 4 weeks too!
If she is still hungry, I give her more... it seems as though we get an hour of sleep/ounce that she eats.



ETA: she weighed 9lb 10oz at birth so i think that is why she ate so much in the beginning!

My DS is 9 weeks old and he is drinking 3 1/2 ozs. The Dr told me that if he wants more than I could give it to him.
