Holbrook Condos
Ok, ladies I need honest answers here. How long is the train station (ie Ronkonkoma station) from Wooded Gate in Holbrook? I love the idea that they have 3 bedrooms and need not to much work. We both commute and DH especially wants to shorten our commute. Its becoming very VERY hard. Please help, how long of a drive? Thanks Kerry

sweetestofpeas will know - she's my holbrook expert.
The woodgate village condo complex is very nice. If you can make it work for the commute, I would definitely look into it.

Re: Holbrook Condos
where is the Woodgate Village?? Is it off of Patchoque-Holbrook Rd??
if so...you are looking at about a 5 min ride to the station

Re: Holbrook Condos
price is great, very private but to get my DH out there would bother him unless he is close, within 5-10minutes, of the LIRR. I don't mind the commute but I also start at 9AM and get expresses. DH sometimes starts at 6AM and takes a 3:50 train. I couldn't even imagine. Its hard enough he goes to bed at 8PM.
Plus, we could maybe possibly swing a 3 bedroom in 4 months, if we offer a couple $$ less. You never know. Also, they have formal dinings room. I know I'll fall in love, plus Sachem schools YIPPY!, but DH is the hard sell.

It is right off Patchogue-Holbrook. 5 minutes to the LIRR. HMMMM, may have to check it out next weekend. We'll see. Thanks

Re: Holbrook Condos
Isn't Holbrook very close to the airport? Or am I thinking of Holtsville? I always get those mixed up.
It's something we got used to in Long Beach, being so close to Kennedy and hearing the planes every minute, during peak times.

Re: Holbrook Condos
yea, being near MacArthur wouldn't bother us. We are looking in Ronkonkoma and live in Nesconset and you may hear 2 planes a day. Its a very small local airport. Trust me, I love flying out of there but the place shuts down after 10pm.
