Wedding present help

My friend and coworker (I am her supervisor) is getting married mid-July. I am due with my fourth child a few days after (but I know I will be induced early) so I will not be attending.

I plan on spending between $50-75 off the registry for the shower....but how much for the wedding?

I would rather get item(s) off the registry rather than just cash....he's a trust fund baby so money isn't an issue. I want to get her something that I know she personally picked out.

What do you think?

If you were attending how much would your normal gift be? I would give a gift in that range.

I'd think spending another $50-75 would be reasonable for the wedding since you're not attending (or maybe $100 if you see something nice). When I got married, I really didn't expect people not attending to send anything, so whatever was sent was appreciated, and I definitely wasn't checking the price tag. I'd focus less on the price tag, and just look at the registry for something she'd really like and get a lot of use from.

I would spend about $100 for the wedding gift - something off the registry sounds like a good idea. If I wasn't attending a wedding I was invited to, I'd send a check for $100, so that's what I'd spend on an actual gift as well
