yet another tip question....

Leaving for work but leaving my mom home to accept delivery of my new sectional. 5 piece sectional - easy delivery no stairs through a double wide door no turns. The company already charged $200 for delivery.

What would you tip? I thought $40, but everyone (DH, mom) is saying that's too much.

Is $20 enough?

Re: yet another tip question....

I'm assuming it's going to be 2 workers in which case I'd do $20 each. So $40 seems right to me.

ETA: We had my DD's bedroom furniture delivered just in the living room (though they offered to take it up to the room, but we were painting at the moment) and that's what we gave- $20 each.

I'd probably do 10 each assuming 2 guys.

I'm already paying for delivery.

$5-$10 per guy if there are no steps and likely nothing to build if it's a sectional. For larger furniture that needs to be assembled (a dresser, for example), then I give more.

UPDATE:

I left my mom $40. She gave them $20. She said there were 3 guys and they were here less than 15 minutes. It was a 5 piece sectional. The carried it in, clipped it together and left.
