Last minute make-up- Queens?
I know this is a long shot but does anyone know a good make up artist in queens for this weekend? I’ve been wanting to do maternity photos in the snow and I’ve basically given up. There’s supposed to be a bit this weekend so my SIL said let’s just got for it. I’m 36 weeks and no one (except me) thinks I’ll make it the full 40. Anyyyy ideas even if it’s someone from a makeup spot like in the mall would be helpful? I just don’t trust myself to do my own, I’ll end up looking like I got punched in the face.

Sephora. You can make an appointment or you can show up (wouldn't do it on a weekend), and they do it for "free" if you buy something for $50. You can always get a gift card for later for that amount.

You can try Sue at Mirror Mirror (you may even know her, I feel like everyone in Middle Village knows her- she is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met).
I think the salon on 80th and Eliot does makeup. I used to get my nails done there. I can’t remember the name of it.
If not, I’ve had my makeup done at the Ulta in the shopping center by the LIE but that was years ago and I’m not sure what kind of a madhouse it is on weekends. I feel like I have even less patience for crowds since moving to LI.

Re: Last minute make-up- Queens?
I do love Diana for make-up but don’t think I’ll be able to make it work logistically even if she’s available.
How have I never heard of Mirror Mirror? I literally grew up on Eliot and 84th! I’m going to give them a call in the morning and if not I’ll pop by Sephora after work. Thanks for the suggestions guys this is hugely helpful!!
ETA: and I’m keeping mirror mirror in mind for future cuts/color. I go to Celtic Hair Design on grand (which is why I’m going to be in Queens not LI) but I think they are closing or moving.

Mirror Mirror moved to a weird spot kind of behind Metro. They used to be on Dry Harbor across from Matson's. Unless you knew it moved from Dry Harbor you wouldn't know about it. I had to use my GPS to get there and I'd lived in Middle Village my whole life.
My bff used to go to Celtic Hair Design, she's since moved and every time she gets her hair colored she complains "her Irish ladies" were so much better. She'll be so sad to hear they're closing.
Good luck! I'm sure your pics will come out gorgeous with or without makeup!

Okay I was gonna say- I should totally know this place!! I do LOVE Celtic but there's only one girl who does make-up (I think the owner's daughter?) and she's not around otherwise I'd totally do a one stop shop. They were talking about moving to Sunnyside or Woodside I think but I'm not sure if that ever went through. I've been going to them for like 13 years!!
ETA: And thank you!!!

You're welcome. I live nearby. Have been going there for 20 years, although I dislike the owner Lois. I don't do hair there, too expensive and I had a bad color experience that turned me off. I go to a small salon in Douglaston instead.

Re: Last minute make-up- Queens?
Just wanted to give a quick update! Mirror Mirror had no availability that worked for me. I also can't get over to Bayside between my hair appt. and the time for pics so I found another place- Top Knot Salon on Metro? It has good reviews, the price is $55 for full face so similar to if I had gone to Sephora (though I won't walk out with any swag). Here's hoping it looks good! Thank you for helping me out! I was panicking last night lol!
