Captains Chairs or Bench Seat
For those of you with 3 row SUVs, which do you prefer for the middle row--captain's chairs or bench seat? We have 2 kids in carseats. I like the ease of getting to 3rd row with captain's chairs but wondering if it's better to have the extra seat instead? It would be rare to have adults in the 3rd row if that matters. Thoughts?

Like you said, mostly the ease of getting to third row. I would rarely (if ever) have 8 people in my car to necessitate the bench seat.

We have two kids and captain's chairs and I LOVE them!! It's easier to get to the 3rd row from inside the car and I like that they have some space between them for their things. I wouldn't go back to a bench seat.

If your kids are in car seats still captains chairs are the way to go. We have a bench and we barely used the third row when they were on car seats since it was a pain to do it. It’s easier now that they are in boosters. I usually use it for carpooling.

I have the bench and we need it, I can't give up the extra seat- we sometimes pack 8 in the car.

I'll be different. We have the bench in the middle. 99.99999% of the time we have the back row down so we have a bigger trunk. Right now we have 2 car seats in the middle, but I figure when the kids are older, we'll prefer having an extra seat.
