Sweating at night
OMG! Am I getting old already?! LOL So for a few months now on and off every few days I go to sleep fine and wake up in the middle of the night and back is a little sweaty. Gross! I am usually always cold and get hot in the middle of the night. Haven't had this since I had my boys and the youngest is 7. I sleep with the fan on.

Re: Sweating at night
Is it related to your cycle? I find that one week before my period I am like a menopausal woman with hot flashes. I walk outside in 30 degree weather with no coat on, sweat is pouring off me, I wake up in sweats. All 3 other weeks I am freezing all the time.
I chalk it up to the hormonal shifts that week pre-period.

Re: Sweating at night
Ha - welcome to my world. Night sweats started during peri-menopause and have now escalated that I am getting closer to full on menopause (50 days left and it is "official"). The hot flashes wake me up - I swear I could melt the polar ice cap with one of them. Sometimes I have multiple hot flashes, some nights I don't have any.
It is so uncomfortable that I sleep in the other bedroom so I don't wake DH up and I can keep the window open. I keep extra pillows to switch out the one I soaked thru.
Sometimes it really sucks being female and going thru all this $hit.

Right? Periods, pregnancy, childbirth, PMS, hormones, then peri and menopause.
And what do men go through? Um, nothing.

Sweating at night
I’ve had this happen for years. Always happens within the same 3-4 days of the month. Mine is linked to when my progesterone decreases (so right before or after my period starts). I wake up and my shirt is soaked. It is so gross!

Me too. Sometimes randomly, but most often the few days before my period. When I know it is coming, no matter how cold it is, I switch to a cotton t-shirt and loose cotton pants to sleep in.

I am on the pill still (at 48) and this happens to be but ONLY the week I am on the placebo pill. I wake up dripping in sweat, its so gross. I am so worried about three years from now because my gyn said I have to go off the pill by 51.

Re: Sweating at night
Thanks all! Could definitely be related to pill, getting old and just being a female. I am pretty healthy besides that
I also have to get a new mattress too, which doesn't help. Any reviews? LOL

Re: Sweating at night
Story of my life. I swear - I keep the heat at 60 in the bedroom part of the house at night, go to bed freezing, yet wake up in the middle of the night needing to strip because I'm so hot and sweaty.

DH knows that it is nothing he has done/said that turns me into a raging lunatic. It's the hormone flux. Even I hate myself when something triggers the rage in me. I'm working on calming myself down when I get pissed off for no logical reason.
The night sweats, that's a whole other story.

OMG same. I hate how I feel. I feel so out of control of myself and just miserable. I find CBD oil helps when I am like that. Calms me down nicely. (for a while )

This is me exactly. I had sweats in 30's, but that was after I had my kids and still postpartum. I'm 42 now. Could be the pill, age, who knows?

Funny you say this. DH was always hot. He was hot in a blizzard. Our house was freezing at all times. The AC was cranking in the summer to the point I couldn't wear shorts in July. The heat was never high in the winter. I was always freaking freezing! Now that he lost so much weight he is freezing 24/7. He wears a jacket in the house sometimes He wears a Comfy! He wears gloves, a scarf etc to go out. He pumps the heat up to 80!!
I am here with the hormonal sweats and he is freezing. My how the tides have turned LOL
