Re: Long Island Sports Complex- Freeport
I had two birthday parties for my (now 10 year old) son there - his 6th and his 7th. I've been to many, many, many parties there, as I live in Bellmore and DS and his friends are very sporty.
If your kid is a sports kid, then it's a good choice. It's cool for them to be able to play on a huge indoor turf field with a score board. The kids always have fun.
On the pro side:
It can accommodate a huge group of kids;
Your kid gets to choose 3 sports/activities, and they have a good selection including a gaga pit (which is fun);
The boys who work there (it's mostly high school/college aged/young 20-somethings) relate well to the kids and organize the sports part well.
It's easy - they order the pizza for you, they have a cupcake cake for the kids, if you want to have them do favors, it's not just junk - you can do a wiffle ball/bat, a water bottle filled with candy, etc.
On the potential con side:
While the sports play area is very cool, the party room where they eat afterward is upstairs (up a narrow hallway) and no frills.
The workers are great with the sports part, but not the best at the food part (making sure everyone has napkins, drinks). They are teenage boys. LOL.
The place has it's own lot, but the parking can get crowded if there is an event going on before or after your party (teams practice there, there are other parties coming in after).
I've been to sports parties at other places (Sport Hub in Syosset, Sporttime in Bethpage), and by far, I like the Long Island Sports party the best.
If you have any other questions, let me know!

Yes, they will order extra pizzas for the adults if you request that (you tell them how many you want).
But if I recall, you bring the beverages for adults (bottles of soda, water, whatever), and if you want anything beyond pizza for the adults (e.g., chips, veggies and dip), you would provide that.
