Feel better thankfully no, and I work in a hospital. They are crazy about infection control. I wear a mask even though I have a flu shot just to pretext myself and I literally carry gloves and sanitizer all over with me and my kids aren’t in daycare so hopefully we are spared

Also look into probiotics called tummy tune up, I take 3 a day and swear by them to ward off stomach viruses

Re: norovirus

Wash hands thoroughly with soap and water.
Purell does nothing for Norovirus.

DH and I have been on a lot of cruises and always relied on good old hand washing to keep from getting sick. That and common sense about touching stuff.

Re: norovirus

I have been reading about acidifiy your stomach.
Apple Cidar Vinegar (I use pill form because I just can't swallow that shit- its awful)

I was using probiotics forever and never getting any relief. I tried 100s of kinds. Different brands, different strains. Still stomach issues. In fact they were worse than ever.
I come to find out the issue i have has to do with too much bacteria in my Small Intestine . Guess what the probiotics were doing? Making it worse!

I started using ACV to acidfy my stomach and kill off the excess bacteria.

It's been better,

But anyway, an acid stomach actually fixes reflux as well- as counter intuitive as that seems. My reflux is gone since taking the vinegar.
And it helps kill of viruses etc

Something to keep in mind

norovirus

It's everywhere.
Purell does nothing to kill the stomach virus. Bleach is the only thing that will work. Also like someone else mentioned, constant hand washing. I live in the bathroom all day long at work during the winter months. Every time I touch a door handle, refrigerator handle, coffee machine button, water machine button, copy machine, whatever, I go wash my hands. I also clorox wipe my desk down everyday.

I give myself and my kids Apple Cider Vinegar every night before bed. We do it in some orange juice or water. It helps keep your stomach in an acidic state which stomach viruses do not like. Its also a good way to keep your immune system up by having a healthy gut. Look into it.

Yup!!! We are pro ACV in my house. Have been for years. I was slacking right before the holidays and DS brought home a fast moving bug for him. It took me almost 2 weeks to feel better. Never again. I make sure we take it every night. It really helps.

It also helps with acid reflux believe it or not. You would think it would make it worse but the science behind it is actually pretty interesting.
And since taking it, DH is off his reflux meds. Amazing.

and in terms of an acid stomach and viruses, etc- they say the reason a dog can eat raw meat and all kinds of garbage and not get food borne illnesses like humans is that a dogs stomach is super acidic as compared to a human's.
The acid kills everything off.
So you want to acidify your stomach as much as possible to help kill virues, bacteria etc.
I can't stomach the ACV in any form other than a pill so I buy the pills.
