Re: Nightmares
I've had them. About 2 yrs ago I had to call my BF at work one morning at 6am because I was so rattled about the one I had of us. I still remember it like it was last night.

Re: Nightmares
Yes, sometimes I will wake up hysterically crying or sobbing because they are so bad.
I also have occasional night terrors and those are a whole other ball game!!

Re: Nightmares
I do often.
Sometimes I feel like it is a bad energy and I actually will try and say the Lords prayer and the Hail Mary.

Re: Nightmares
I woke up crying the other night because I had a dream there was an active shooter in my office. It was SO horrible and so real. And I just kept thinking I had to stay alive for my babies (born and still in utero).
Later that night DH woke up whimpering and I immediately consoled him... his nightmare? The demon who lives in our house stole our DD.
When I have a bad dream though, I usually sit up and read or watch some sitcom that I've seen 4,000 times to take my mind off of it. When I was pregnant with DD, I had the most horrific violent dreams! I barely slept with her.

I feel like when you're pregnant you get these horrific dreams - it must be because you are always nervous about the baby being ok, or something bad happening to the baby so it kind of manifests in your dreams.

Nightmares
I woke up after a dream of an earthquake. My life is a mess right now. I keep having dreams about recent events in my life.

Re: Nightmares
Such a coincidence that you posted this today...I had one last night that has been haunting me all day long. I just can’t shake it.

Re: Nightmares
But on another note, isn't it the best feeling ever when you wake up and realize- Oh thank GOD that was just a dream? Because sometimes mine feel so real and they are so terrible that it's just sweet relief to realize it wasn't really happening.

YES!!! But it was so hard for me to get it out of my head Then I started googling what the dream meant (i was driving in the dream and a deer was in the lane and my car hit it and went off a cliff) Crazy!!

Re: Nightmares
I have nightmares within nightmares. Like I will think I have woken up, but it's actually just my dream self waking up from a nightmare...then a subsequent nightmare will commence.

Re: Nightmares
I’ve suffered from severe and frequent night terrors my whole life, since childhood. They are fairly debilitating. I won’t even go on overnight trips unless it’s with very very close friends, and even then they have requested I get my own room. I had a sleep study done where it was concluded I spend too much time in the deepest part of sleep (s4 I think?) and this happens b/c I am overtired.
