I think they all do parties, as per their website. There is a new one opening near me, so I looked them up recently.

How old is the child having the birthday? I only ask because I wouldn't consider having a swim party unless my child (and a majority of the children attending) were independent swimmers. Otherwise, Goldfish and Saf-T-Swim require a parent to go in with the child, which in no uncertain terms, is unappealing. I might be a stick in the mud, but I know that many of my mom friends also dislike the idea of having to go into the pool. With that being said, I know many places book far in advance!

We went to a party last year at Saf T Swim for a 9 year old. Parents were not required or even allowed to go in the pool. They had adequate staff to supervise all 35 of the guests. In my case, my son was 5 and is not an independent swimmer and is very nervous by nature. He and another friend of his clung to one instructor the entire time and it was not a problem.

Not true. At Saf T Swim they give a swim test to each child prior to getting in the pool. If they can't swim independently they are required to wear floaties which they provide or a puddle jumper/life jacket of their own that they can bring. I wrote on our invites that puddle jumpers were welcome for children who weren't strong swimmers. Most people brought their own. No parents went in the water.
