Detox!

I have been eating like I have 4 assholes. Honestly, I Will NOT get on a scale because I know it won't be pretty. My jeans are screaming tight on me. Everything has been so Delicious though lol So much sugar. SO SO MUCH SUGAR. TONS of carbs. Italian meats, cheese and crusty Italian bread - I'm going to miss it for a little while

I am currently making a huge pot of organic veggie soup. $30 worth of veggies to be exact (It's highway robbery) I will eat this soup for Lunch and Dinner for the next 3 days. It always gets rid of the bloat and gets my mind back on track. Obv New Years Eve & Day will be a sort of Shit Show with food - though if I detox NOW, I won't be ravenous around the food like I am now.

I asked DH for training session at my gym for Xmas and he got them! I can't wait to get back into it.

157 DAYS UNTIL SUMMER!

Re: Detox!

LOL. Tis the season!

The Jillian Michael's bloat tea is really good if you are looking to clear out some water weight.
Makes you pee a lot.

It's pretty much dandelion root tea (which is a natural diuretic) lemon juice, 100% cranberry juice (the gross, biter, no sugar kind-but its just one tablespoon diluted in a ton of water so you don't taste it) and about 60 oz of water.
Drink it over the course of the day for about 5 days.

Thank you. I looked into different detox teas and this one had good reviews but im allergic to cranberry and dandelion tea is not for me - that, green tea & peppermint tea I can’t get on board with.

The soup did it’s job yesterday. I woke up 5x last night to pee. I’m exhausted, but there’s a lot of bloat that’s gotta go!
I purposely made DH dinner I normally don’t eat so i wouldn’t be jealous of him eating lol I’m doing the same tonight.
Hoping Saturday nights jeans feel better Chat Icon

Re: Detox!

You really don't taste the dandelion root tea because it's so diluted in the water. 60 oz of wter.

To be honest it kind of tastes like weak lemon water.
The lemon takes over.
But if you are allergic to cranberry, it's out anyway.

I saw this the other day and laughed so hard:

Detox!

Detoxs are not necessary. Your liver and kidneys do this for you.

Remove your trigger foods from your house and start over. Don’t label things as good or bad. Invest in a food scale to keep track of portion sizes.

I know this. But this “detox” is more of a get rid of all the salt. I was so swollen that all of my Joints were stiff. 2 days of this soup and it’s gone. My pants zip up no problem. It’s not technically a detox in the way it seems. It’s more of a restart for me.

I have a scale and keep my measuring utensils out. I follow weight watchers usually but the holidays I went nuts! Lol I enjoyed it for sure but now I gotta reign it back in before I gain everything I lost. I have an unhealthy obsession with food. This is the only way to get the cravings to stop!

Yes I hear you. I took it as you were looking for a way to ditch the water weight.
Carbs all make you retain mucho water so I am sure cutting those back are helping too.

Re: Detox!

bloat sucks ass!!

i've recently lost weight. the best part of it all was getting rid of the bloat.

i make the soup from "the cabbage soup diet" all the time... because i honestly like the soup.

i think i might make it, this weekend. it's pretty darn cold out here in sunny southern california, lately.

here's to a bloat-less 2019!!

i'm going to check out that tea.

I have stomach issues to begin with so everything freaking bloats me. It's awful!!
I like the tea because it kind of forces you to drink a lot of water- which in and of itself helps- and then the other things are just natural diuretics. So your pee gets nice and clear! lol

Detox!

I just have to laugh at the 4 assholes comment. And also the clear pee comment. I don’t do detox, But a really simple chicken broth helps me out. I add some veggies to it and maybe pieces of roasted chicken. But then again, I just usually eat protein and a veg or fruit. I just like it more.

I really need to do this. Get rid of the junk inside the house so I'm more prone to eating right and even doing that, using my scale (which is currently malfunctioning) to measure portions and track my calories. I've only lost weight when tracking calories in my fitness plan and when I stop is when I am less invested and just gain.
