homeowners/auto insurance rec.
I can't help but feel like I could do alot better than my current plan. Currently, we pay:
$789.76 per 6 mos for our rogue, $829.51 per 6 mos for our jeep compass, and $950.00 premium for homeowners
Our cars have 1k deductibles and the whole comprehensive/collision/etc. coverage. Pretty standard
Our homeowners is also pretty standard and has the same deductible.
After talking to some colleagues, I feel like I'm paying more than them... any recommendations for companies to look into? We're with state farm currently.

For auto we pay 1200 every 6 months for a 2012 civic and 2015 CRV. Both have full coverage including glass and collision with a $250 deductible. Home just went up to $1410. I’ve been shopping around because my auto and home go up more than 10% yearly. My auto has gone up $100 monthly since 2014

I work in insurance and while I don’t do personal lines I do know auto in general rates have been increasing each year. And a 10% increase is not rare.

Your home owners seems average but considering you are paying $1600 for 2 cars seems a lot to me. You have a high deductible and multi car/policy so I know you are getting a discount but still is high. I pay abou $500 less for 2 cars, fully insured and $500 deductible. I have discounts with Geico for good credit, not using for work and low mileage. I would call and see what discounts you have available, I’m sure after a phone call they can do something but I would still shop around.

Our cars are 2014 and 2018, so they said that's why it's so high. I still think it's a little much, though... Over break, I plan to call liberty mutual because a few people recommended them. I did an online quote for the two cars and was quoted $1100 for both cars. Didn't get a homeowners quote just yet

Your homeowners sounds like a good price (we pay 1200 a year and we are not in a flood zone) but the auto sounds way high.
I went through a broker who shopped the best prices for us.
We ended up switching from Geico to Traveler's and saved $600 for the year. Our umbrella insurance is also through Traveler's.

Try Allstate. I switched from Gieco and they saved me a boat load. I have home, auto and life with them.
