how do you shop around for a...
... plastic surgeon?
i've decided that 2019 will be the year i take care of the first/most aggravating physical flaw i have.
i'll start calling/making appointments for consultations as of mid january.
what should i be looking for?
what should i be asking?
can i "haggle" the price?
i understand if some would prefer to answer privately.

I just made appts and went for consults. Ultimately it came down to which one I liked. Extremely happy with the results. Try and find surgeons that specialize in your specific area of need, but that does not always work. If paying out of pocket, you can absolutely negotiate price.

And looking at pictures of their actual work because plastic surgery can be a very scary thing in the results sometimes

What about asking your primary or other specialists for recommendations ?
There's always the "Botched" doctors - they are in LA.

hadn't thought of those guys!!
interesting. they don't work together. one is in orange county and one is in los angeles county... granted, the counties are right next to each other.
i'll give them a call and put them in the pool of possible doctors.

I believe they have a very long waiting list and Dr. Dubrow has horrible reviews on yelp.
