We are heading to NYC Monday to see the Christmas Show and do our usual holiday stops. The show is at 2p and it takes ridiculously long to get into Radio City, so we need to be wrapped up with all by 1p. Trying to decide if Santaland is worth it or would just be a time suck. We have never done Santaland. Here is our agenda

American Girl Store
FAO Schwartz
Fire Museum
Tree

All these stops are right in Rockefeller. If I have a reservation for Santaland at 10:30, would we have the time to do all, or is Santaland hours of waiting? Is it worth it or would we end up sacrificing something on our list?

I hear that even with a reservation it's hours of waiting.
I think you have way too much stuff on that list to do Santaland too to be honest.

With the crowds you're lucky if you can do 1 thing on that list before the show. Well maybe 2 including the tree since you can see that just walking to the other locations.

We had a reservation for Santaland last year and still had to wait on line for over an hour. I've heard their system is a little better this year with less waiting but I don't know that first hand.

I agree that you have a lot on your list. You're doing this in one day?? LOL.

They city is mobbed everyday. Not sure what time you are planning on getting in, but that is a lot of stuff to do before your show. The Santa land is super long even with reservations.

I would to go to santaland first thing when you get off the train. Then go to Rockefeller Center, go to FAO, then the show then after the show go to American Girl. The line at FAO is long, but moves quickly. If you don't have time before the show you can do that after the show. We just did all of this over Thanksgiving, except for the santaland. The show is only 1.5 hours. It's actually really great this year! They do such a good job, so entertaining! We loved it

Oh, I just saw that your reservation is at 10:30. I don't think you will have time to do anything else before the show but you can definitely do all of that after the show since it's all in the same immediate area. I would see if you can get a reservation at American Girl to eat after the show, or the Tea even

We just went on Sunday. There are two different reservations. Santaland and Santaland EXPRESS.

You can reserve the spot at 6:00 am five days before your visit.

We also slipped the elf a note and when my son walked in Santa had some "inside information" He is at the age where he is having some Santa doubts....not after that visit!! It was magical!!!!

We are going to the radio city show at 2pm too! Did it last year too but on a Saturday. St Pats is opened at 6:30am so we usually got there first. American girl doll opens at 10am. So we’ll go there next and it won’t be crowded at all! Well stop by the tree, have lunch and get to the show by 1:30-1:40pm.

We went Saturday. My DS is ASD. We had 930 appt for Santa express. Done by 10am. He's 7 and it was just enough for him. The regular line was crazy. We did not get to do the whole walk through, but we would not have made it anyway.

I would do santaland first since it’s right across from penn. Then if you have time before the show, the tree, then the show.

It would be impossible to do all of those things before 1pm.

Forget my kid, I’d be a starving, exhausted mess myself halfway through.
