What age is appropriate for kids to watch Home Alone? One of my favorite movies, but is 6 and 8 too young?

Christmas movie

yeah mine were pretty young when they first saw it... anything thats inappropriate will probably go over their heads anyway.

I will say the scenes when he's still afraid of the old man used to really scare me as a kid. Other than that I think it's appropriate. I plan to let my 5 yo watch it.

Re: Christmas movie

My boys have seen it years ago and love it every time. They have also seen Goonies, Ghostbusters, etc. Think it's fine.

I let my 5 year old watch it. He LOVED it. Watched the second one too. Like others said most anything inappropriate goes over his head. They do use the world "sh it" once or twice.
I will say that my son retains stuff though. The week after we watched it my friend introduced him to his girlfriend. My son turns around and says "buzz's girlfriend WOOF!"
Everyone was dying laughing

Re: Christmas movie

It's our favorite Christmas movie. I think DS has been watching it since he was 2 or 3? He's 9 now and is already asking to watch it. We have all of them - obviously the 1st and 2nd are the best!

DS is 7 and saw it last year and really liked it. They actually have a children's book version now and that's what got him interested in the first place.
