I was just thinking about duck boots this morning.
As a kid I found them ugly as sin and would hate when my mom made me wear them.
Now they are in style I guess
But more importantly- they are a better option to rain boots. Because I have the hardest time getting rain boots off. I have posted about this before. My foot seems to not want to come up and out of them. So I have to sit on the floor or a chair and hang on for dear life as DH pulls so hard he practically knocks himself over too.
It's a real site to see! 
So for this reason I don't wear them to work unless I plan to keep them on all day. I can't ask a co worker to yank my boots off for me like that!
So this morning it was SOOOO wet and gross out and I didn't want to get my suede booties wet so I wore my friggin' snow boots to work even though there was no more snow on the ground. Because at least those lace up and are a breeze to get out of .
Duck boots would serve the same purpose and they are shorter too.
Oh the things that run through my head as I drive to work. lol

oh, honey. you do not want to know the things that run through my head ALL.THE.TIME.
i'm debating getting a pair of these... since it never rains in southern california... and i already have a pair of rain/snow boots that i wear once a year since i moved out here.

I was just thinking about duck boots this morning.
As a kid I found them ugly as sin and would hate when my mom made me wear them.
Now they are in style I guess
But more importantly- they are a better option to rain boots. Because I have the hardest time getting rain boots off. I have posted about this before. My foot seems to not want to come up and out of them. So I have to sit on the floor or a chair and hang on for dear life as DH pulls so hard he practically knocks himself over too.
It's a real site to see!
So for this reason I don't wear them to work unless I plan to keep them on all day. I can't ask a co worker to yank my boots off for me like that!
So this morning it was SOOOO wet and gross out and I didn't want to get my suede booties wet so I wore my friggin' snow boots to work even though there was no more snow on the ground. Because at least those lace up and are a breeze to get out of .
Duck boots would serve the same purpose and they are shorter too.

I have duck boots from LL Bean and they are a total PITA to get on and off. I can't speak for other variations, but I tried to put them on to go to work yesterday and broke a legit sweat.

Really?? Even with being able to open them up with the laces, etc?

I have Puddletons Boots I got from Zulilly of All places...$12.99 and they are AWESOME! I normally have a hard time with rain boots, but these fit so well!

You need to break them in which can take many wears. Mine used to be like that but have since loosened up.
