Family friendly NYE suggestions within driving distance?
I think this year we are going to change it up and take the kids for a quick little trip for NYE. Can anyone recommend a cute little town or a hotel or resort that has some fun activities for NYE?

Cape Codder has a small indoor water park and they usually have a NYE Event.
Great Wolf, Kalahari, Camelback also have stuff. BUT, those are super pricey. I priced out 2 nights at Camelback Lodge over Christmas break and it was $1,700...INSANE. That is more than I paid last weekend for Disney hotel and tickets for 4 nights!

OMG that is nuts. These waterparks need to check themselves. Who can afford this?

Right!!! Kalahari was about $900, so cheaper. Both, same types of rooms. My only guess for Camelback is because you can ski in/out since it's right at the mountain. But RIDICULOUS!!!

I actually did price out Kalahari for 12/30-1/1 and it was around $1500. I don't think so.

A couple of times we have just stayed in a local hotel and swam in the pool, ordered pizza, a movie, etc. Total staycation and wasn't expensive!

And yet, i bet it will be PACKED. Is everyone who goes there rich? Or just in debt? Because the place is ALWAYS ALWAYS packed.
