Kitchenaid mixer
I want a kitchenaid mixer so I've been thinking maybe I should look for Black Friday deals. Why are they are all different prices? I don't want to spend a lot at all, and I don't have a big kitchen. I can see myself using it for a lot of things though. Before today, I thought they were all the same. Which one should I get?

Re: Kitchenaid mixer
I have the Professional 600 model, it has a nice big bowl and powerful motor. But you can save some money and go for the Artisan model, it's just as good with a smaller glass bowl and a tilt head. Also, check out a Cuisinart too. They make a really nice stand mixer, very comparable to the Kitchen Aid, but for far less money. I bought one for my DD for her birthday.

I have the same kitchenaid 600 professional series I got this year for my birthday and I LOVE it! Nothing you can’t make in there especially if you love baking! I’ve always wanted one and I’m glad I got it! I use it weekly

I have a small kitchen with not a whole lot of counter space. I have the artisan model and it works great for me. No matter what model, get an extra bowl so that you can switch out without having to wash.

Agreed. My mother has the 600 and that's the workhorse, but my Artisan has done me well for years. The 600 has a bigger bowl, as well. Also be mindful of any attachments you get, the don't all work for both models.

Does the artisan have the pasta attachment?

I would prob use it for everything I can. Baking and cooking. I'm a family of 5, but we have a huge extended family. So hearing that it makes 130 cookies with no problem is great!! We regularly have a party or holiday at our house and dh and I usually make all the food ourselves.

Yes, you can get the pasta attachment for the artisan. I have that and the ice cream attachment.

Re: Kitchenaid mixer
The artisan is on sale right now in Macys for $299 from $474.99. I've been wanting one for years. Do you think the price will drop further for Black Friday?

I'm not sure I was looking at the right one but I think I saw the Black Friday add at target for 220. I'm going to look again

Re: Kitchenaid mixer
I have this one that I got at Target one year around this time. They had a sale, red card discount and a coupon code or something, so that enticed me. BUT, I did store pickup, picked it up. Then a couple of weeks later got a credit on my card in the full amount of the mixer because they said I didn't pick it up! But, I did, and they didn't seem to care when I emailed them about it! Love it, and the color is awesome!! Actually, mine says "Ultra Power Plus", not Artisan!

I just found it at target. It says it's the professional 5 quart for 220. Regularly 450.

Lucky!! Lol. Yes this is the one on sale for Black Friday I think. But then it says the same price right now too so I don't know why they are saying it's a doorbuster.
