We don't really do "dates" but we go out to dinner every Saturday and restaurants we like are:
7 Quarts Tavern in Northport
Stella Trattoria in Blue Point
Monsoon in Babylon
Porters on the Lane in Bellport
Verace in Islip
La Tavola- Sayville
All would be good for a date night

Besito is my fave lately.
I absolutely loved the food there but I went to the West Islip location and what a shit show. I had a reservation for 8 pm. A reservation. We weren't seated until almost 930.
It was my birthday and I really wanted to eat there and it was late and I wasn't going to leave and find somewhere else with no reservation on a Friday night at that point. So we waited.
The manger felt bad and bought us a round of drinks while we were waiting but man was I pissed.
This was back in March though and I think that location was relatively new then.
I hope they worked out the kinks by now.
I haven't been to the other location.

I would like to believe that it was because it was a new location. I haven't been there but to both Roslyn and Huntington a few times and never had an issue with a reservation time.
