Wantagh woman found dead in Turks & Caicos
Anyone hear this??

Yeah I saw that this morning- that's nuts. So scary.
Oh and in other murder news connected to LI- I saw something that the police are searching for the body of a woman in Oakdale right now- her head was found in the Everglades in Florida about 10 years ago and the person in jail for her murder is just gave them a map of where to look for the body- in Oakdale.
I have so many questions on that- the first being- why did they dump her body in Oakdale- which is near where she disappeared- but dump her head in Florida in the water?
And how? Did they travel with the just the head to Florida?
Sooooo many questions.

I saw this. Very sad and scary.
Side note but this article implies that T&C is part of the Bahamas? Or did I read that wrong. 
Also, I read another article saying that the State Dept put out a warning / travel advisory not long ago about an increase in danger in T&C. I am so surprised - I thought it was one of the safest (and more luxurious) islands. Obviously crime can happen anywhere but I was quite surprised by this.

Turks is actually part of the Bahamas - it's at the "bottom" of the chain of islands, closest to the Caribbean

It's not part of the Bahamas. It is a separate country part of the British Overseas Territory.
It lies close to the Bahamian Islands and not near the Caribbean Islands.

I wasn't clear from report I read but was she found at resort? I was thinking maybe someone she was traveling with killed her.
