Where To Buy Skis?
My DD (11) wants skis for Christmas. What's a good place to get them that isn't going to cost a fortune. Online would be good, too!

This is something you will have to do with her. Skis go by height and weight. Do you know all of that info to buy skis online?
I got my cross country skis online, but I already knew what size I needed after renting them for so long.
I can’t suggest where I got them because it’s not in the US.
Have a look on Amazon.

Yes I know all of that info and she has rented skiis in the past. I'm not going to take her, because then it's not a surprise

Ski Stop used to have good prices, but I think they've gotten more expensive in the recent past - but maybe still worth checking out

Yes - but I haven't shopped for skis there in a long time. When I did get skis from there, the prices were pretty good. Last time I went there for ski clothing, it seemed like their prices had gone up a lot. I got my last pair of skis from Sno Haus (on the corner of Rt 110 & New York Ave in Huntington) - definitely not known for good prices, but the skis I got weren't too crazy $$$$

I got mine at Sundown in Farmingdale. They have pretty decent prices. SKi Stop on the LIE used to have good prices too but I haven't been there in a while.

I rented from here and they had the best prices for rentals, so I assume they'd have competitive prices for purchasing equipment too.
I know a few weeks ago they were running sales.
