OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG.... yes, it's party related, but not in the way you think
after a LOT of stress and drama and money and tears, i am beyond the moon in excitement to share that THE BUGGY is done.
somewhere along the process of planning this party, i decided to make a 3D replica of SO's buggy for the party. my plan was to have it be the cake topper.
back story: our first "date" was me going with him to pick up the frame for this monstrosity. he's been custom building it since then. it's been the third person in our relationship lol.
so...
i'll spare you the saga, but after a lot of work, sneaking around to take pictures of it without him noticing, dealing with many 3D printer people, and a lot of tears... the buggy is finished!!!
i'll be taking a day off, this week to pick it up.

How big is the model? You should take a picture of the model with something to show the scale.
SO is going to be amazed and thrilled getting that. I love having models of the cars I've owned, and those are mostly stock, off the shelf models (some of which I've custom pinstriped, or painted, to match my actual cars), but to have a custom made one to match my custom built buggy would be amazing.

it's 8 inches from front bumper to back bumper. not sure how wide it is.
it ended up being a little bigger than originally planned. he said this was to make sure some details could be seen.
i can't wait to go pick it up!!

That's roughly 1/25th scale, which is a very common scale for car models. Perfect size for displaying.

this was the item i was venting about... about my budget being blown out of the water. it ended up costing a lot more than originally planned. since i couldn't vent to SO, there were two nights i went to bed crying from anger and frustration.
